Between Fire and Patience
We are not just a blacksmith workshop, but a place where fire, steel, and tradition come together.

Philosophy of the Perunis Workshop
The Perunis blacksmith workshop was founded in 2011 after four years of apprenticeship under several master blacksmiths—true to tradition.
Each of these masters shaped the workshop in a different direction, whether in bladesmithing or artistic forging. Their names are recognized both in Slovakia and abroad: Jozef Uhrecký, Ladislav “Lasky” Šánta, Pavol Zlatoš, Miroslav Hromada, and Peter Meszáros.
In our workshop, we create more than just products—we build a relationship with the material, with time, and with the work itself. Every piece of steel requires attention, patience, and respect. We follow traditional methods while continuously seeking our own path to give the craft a life that endures.
WHO STANDS BEHIND THE WORKSHOP
My name is Dušan Klimo
I currently focus on the production of knives and jewelry. Blacksmithing is not just a job for me, but a way of life. The workshop is a place where I have the space to create, reflect, and continuously improve—both as a craftsman and as a person.
In my work, I combine techniques that are hundreds of years old with modern technologies. Every piece is made from high-quality materials with certified origin. For me, it’s not only about the final result, but also about the journey that leads to it.

WHAT WE CREATE FOR YOU
Our Workshop Offer
In our workshop, we produce Damascus steel, which we use for custom-made knives, bladed weapons, and jewelry. This method dates back hundreds of years and involves forge-welding at least two different types of steel together in fire.
We place strong emphasis on the quality of materials. We use certified steels and carefully selected materials with verified origin. For knife handles, we work with a wide range of materials such as antler, horn, stabilized wood, and various exotic woods, as well as materials traditional to Slovakia. The final choice always depends on your preferences.
We also focus on traditional blacksmithing and artistic metalwork. We are able to create custom pieces ranging from forged jewelry and interior decorations like candle holders or wine stands, to exterior elements such as railings and grilles.
In addition, we have experience in the reconstruction and restoration of historical metal elements of cultural heritage sites. We have contributed to the restoration of Krásna Hôrka Castle, Štítnik Water Castle, Brekov Castle, a historic townhouse in Banská Štiavnica, the Jelšava Museum, and a church in Kežmarok.
All our products are based on original designs. In custom work, customer satisfaction is our top priority. As each piece is unique, the final price depends on the time and complexity required for its creation.
